Origin – what causes needle phobias and fears?
Very often the fear of needles has its origins in childhood it is usually one of those ‘manifested terrors’ that starts when the person, as a child, is injected by a doctor, nurse or dentist … For other people, the phobia begins later in life it can develop in your teenage years or even as an adult and it effects both men and women alike.
Fact is you are not born with a phobia.
Fear of Injections or needles – is a learned conditioned behavioural response…
It can derive from either having a scary experience yourself or even observing someone maybe a family member or person experiencing a frightening reaction to needles.
